Art workshops truly with a difference!

                  * The "art" of letting go
There is much self doubt and self expectation/the need to perform around being "able" to make art which interferes with our intrinsic creative ability as creative beings and our being willing to immerse ourselves in creative play... yet there are methods I use to help one practice the language of letting go along with  ensuing creative exercises such as free doodling and other great exercises
.

                 * The "art " of being present
It's known that living in the past and/or future can leave us feeling anxious drained  and disconnected. By learning to use the creative process to become centered in the here and now, all of our attention can become focused in the present moment where we can connect with all our senses to stimulate sensory experiences of enthusiasm, joy and creative pleasure.

                * 'Tapping into our sense of Awe '
"Awe gives one a sense of something much larger than oneself, without diminishing ones own existence." Being in a state of awe and wonder promote healthier levels of cytokines and is known to lower inflammation.
So awe doesn’t just make you feel good — it actually improves your health and well-being.
We will connect with awe and wonder for the exquisiteness in nature's designs and shapes through particular observation/drawing processes.

                * 'Experience the healing effect of the creative process
There is an entire emerging field of study called Neuroasthetics : ie. the scientific study of how the brain responds to / is affected by creating and viewing art.
Evidence reveals that art making lights up the brain's dopamine-driven reward network increasing this “feel good” neurotransmitter -a generator of pleasurable sensations that contribute to well-being and feelings of happiness.
Art making also forges a connection between your mind and body... it accesses both mind and body to promote healing . The "U.S. National Institute of Health’s (NIH) website, according to the extensive research publication “The Connection Between Art, Healing, and Public Health" :
"Through creativity and imagination, we find our identity and our reservoir of healing. The more we understand the relationship between creative expression and healing, the more we will discover the healing power of the arts.” .... and the more we will imbue our life with creativity and fill our spaces with inspirational healing artwork!

So let's immerse ourselves in the fun and play of creative expression together!
